Frequently Asked Questions

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical services or item. You can also ask your health care provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate you have the right to dispute that bill. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

Please be patient as we adjust to this new law. In order to estimate the cost of your mental health treatment please multiply the cost per session (listed under Fees) by the number of sessions you plan to attend. If you are unable to locate your Good Faith Estimate or need a new or updated copy, please let your therapist know.

I’ve never been to counseling before. What can I expect?

  • It is completely NORMAL to be nervous before or even during your counseling journey. It can be helpful to remember that this is YOUR time, and YOUR space. There is NO judgement here. My goal is to provide you with a SAFE space to do the work you came to do. Part of this means building a trusting relationship and that can take a little time. I invite you to give yourself permission to be a little nervous and to remember that questions are ALWAYS welcome! If there are any concerns or uncertainties, let me know. I encourage honesty from all of my clients and promise to be honest with you in return.

Are you offering in person or online virtual counseling?

  • Both! In person sessions are available for those that prefer to meet in person and virtual is always also an option for those that prefer to schedule an appointment and meet online. In person sessions take place at our office in Round Rock, Texas, near IH35 and McNeil Rd.

How does virtual counseling work?

  • Virtual counseling can be a great resource for those who are unable or uncomfortable meeting in person. This can be a wonderful resource for those with limited time availability, scheduling conflicts, or health concerns. Virtual counseling has become accepted and we are able to deliver the same quality care on your screen. Counseling online allows us to see and hear each other during your session. A simple link will take you to a private, secure online session.

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

  • At this time only week day appointments are available. If you are in need of alternative appointment times I am happy to provide you with referrals that may better fit your needs.

How often will we need to meet?

This is a common question and does not come with a one size fits all answer. Every individual, schedule, presenting issue, financial situation and personality is different. That being said, I recommend weekly meetings for the first 6-8 weeks of your counseling journey. This allows us to get to know each other and gain some traction in the process. As we continue it is possible to adjust to bi-weekly sessions based on need once there is a foundation laid in both the relationship and the work. As clients form new patterns and make change it is also common to transition to less frequent sessions later on in the process.

How much are your sessions?

  • Individual Counseling - 45 minute session: $150

  • Marriage/Couples Counseling - 50 minute session: $200

  • Family Counseling - 50 minute session: $200

  • Individual Counseling - 90 minute session: $300

  • Marriage Couples Counseling - 100 minute session: $400

  • Family Counseling - 100 minute session: $400
